Asian Beach Foot Treatment

Asian Beach Foot Treatment

When you walk along almost any beach in Thailand, the ones where the tourists hang out, you are bound to run into two things: Thai Massage under a hut on the beach and Thai practitioners excited about giving you a Thai Foot Reflexology preceded by a great foot cleaning.  Using beach sand is what is there, and a few practitioners incorporate it into their pre-Thai Foot Massage treatments.

Inspired by a walk on the beach, here is a simple Thai Beach Foot Treatment recipe.  All you need to add is some beach sand from your last trip to Tahiti or your soon-to-be vacation in Bora, Bora ……. well, if not, then just be creative with that part .. 🙂

3 tablespoons fine Beach Sand
3 teaspoons coconut oil
3-5 drops of sandalwood essential oil and/or
3-5 drops of peppermint essential oil

Mix all the ingredients together to make a paste and massage and scrub your or your client’s feet, gently exfoliating dead skin in the process.  Then, let the feet soak for a few minutes. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry.  The whole ritual is extra nice if you float a few flowers in the water and have your towels neatly folded and ready, along with an attractive foot soak bowl big enough for two feet.
